Of @KodakProfessional Tri-X 400 35mm and a @Lomography Lomo LC-A (35mm Format / EI 400 / Lomo Minitar 1 32mm f/2.8) - by @boutiquefilmlab Until late March this year (last week at the time of writing), I hadn’t shot a roll of film in more than 10 years, since around the time Kodak discontinued Plus-X. I recently discovered that a great independent lab (Boutique Film Lab) opened up in my hometown of Nashville, TN, a few years ago and is doing quality work. This inspired me to pick up a few rolls of Kodak Tri-X 400 and shoot some photos on a pre-spring Sunday afternoon. I loaded up my Leica M4 and, just for kicks, I loaded up my 90’s Lomo LC-A as well. Unparalleled service. In a world that is becoming increasingly disposable, it is comforting to know there are still others that champion the permanence of film. As of this writing, I’ve used them for 18 months & roughly 140 35mm rolls; flawless quality control each and every time. Also the best value I’ve found in eight surrounding states…

I waited WAY too long to try out Boutique Film Lab. I have tried many other film labs, but I’ve found the customer service + consistency to be unparalleled here at Boutique. I cannot wait to continue sending them all my film in the years to come.

So happy I trusted Boutique Film Lab with processing my first ever film photos! The online ordering process was simple, turnaround time was quick, and most importantly the scans and prints turned out beautifully. No extra charges or complications for a single-use camera or unusual film either
